If I built your site years ago using the Parallax for Writers theme, you’ll need to pick a date and time for the Parallax theme.
If you are using Elementor on your website (pretty much all newer sites I’ve built since COVID happened), then you’ll need to join one of the Elementor calls.
If you don’t know, check the backend of your WordPress site.
(Go to Appearance -> Themes and see if you see “Parallax for Writers” and “Parallax Frame” in there.)
If so, attend a Parallax call.
If not, attend an Elementor call.
THE TWO CALLS WILL BE VERY DIFFERENT, so don’t just pick one based on the ideal time. You won’t learn anything useful to you if you join the wrong group.
Parallax Calls
FOR PARALLAX users only:
If you have enabled extra security to prevent modifications to your theme file in WordPress, you will want to disable that BEFORE the call.
To find out, go to Appearance -> and see if you have a drop-down option that says “Theme File Editor” (it’s typically the last thing in the drop-down menu under Appearance).
If you don’t see Theme File Editor, check your plugins for something security-related that could possibly be turned off (temporarily) and that would bring back that option.
If a plugin isn’t the culprit, it means the security measure is with your hosting company. Reach out to them BEFORE the call so you have access to that Appearance->Theme file editor because we may need to get in there.
(And you’ll be able to turn that security measure back on after we’re done.)
Elementor Calls
PREPARATION FOR EVERYONE BEFORE THE CALL
These calls will involve authors sharing their screens, so make sure to attend on a COMPUTER (not a cellphone or tablet) where you are LOGGED IN your WordPress site and ready to follow along.
If you want to volunteer your screen so I help you live, you will need to be able to SHARE YOUR SCREEN.
If you’re on a Mac computer, please follow these instructions ahead of time so we don’t waste time during the call:
